Introduction
Bone and Joint Unit, Ambulatory Day Care Centre (ADCC)
1. The underlying objective of the Bone & Joint Unit is to provide trauma, orthopaedic, rheumatology, patients with a one-stop shop whereby they can have their condition assessed, investigated and treated according to best clinical practice and with maximal efficiency.
2. There are 4 hospital departments associated with the Bone & Joint Unit, with:
- 6 Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons. Mr Dudeney, Mr Kelly, Mr Quinlan, Mr.O Rourke, Mr O ‘Toole, Mr Hurson
- 4 Consultant Rheumatologists. Prof . FitzGerald, Prof. Veale, Dr Mongey(locum),Dr Killeen
- Consultant Endocrinologist (with a special interest in diseases of bone) Dr Mc Kenna
- 2 Consultant Rehabilitation medicine specialists. Dr Ryall, Dr Carroll

- Infliximab Infusion – day patient treatment
- Mantoux Clinic (pre-biologic treatment screening) -
- I.V. Bisphosphonate - day patient treatment
- Young Adult Clinic – 2 weekly.
- Joint Clinic (Mr. Quinlan) – monthly
- Hand Clinic (Mr. Kelly) – monthly
- Medical Rehabilitation Clinic (Dr.Ryall/Dr. Carroll) - 2 weekly
- Methotrexate Nurse Led Clinic – Weekly.
