Cardiology Department
The Cardiology Department in St Vincent's University Hospital is a modern state of the art unit. We provide 24-hour comprehensive cardiac care to patients in St Vincent’s, St Michaels and St Columcille's Hospitals. The department provides a full range of non-invasive and invasive cardiac investigations and treatments including; ECG, Echocardiogram, Exercise Testing, Holter Monitoring, Event Monitors, Pacemaker and Defibrillator follow-up, Transoesophageal Echocardiogram, Cardiac Rehabilitation, specialised heart failure follow-up, acute chest pain assessment, Coronary Angiography, Coronary Angioplasty and stenting and Electrophysiological procedures.

The Cardiology Department is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm.
ECG service for General Practitioners is on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 2pm and Friday at 12noon. These are by appointment only.
Other tests carried out in the Department of Cardiology are Echocardiogram, 24 hour Holter Monitor, Event Monitors, Pacemaker check and defibrillator follow-up and Exercise Stress Tests. General Practitioners do not have direct access to these tests.
