There are currently 23 Consultants Anaesthetists working in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, 12 of these consultants have significant commitments to other hospitals. Consequently there are only 12 wholetime equivalents to staff all services in the hospital (incorporating St. Michael’s Hospital) Among the services requiring cover are 15 Operating theatre, including:

1 in St. Michael's Annexe
2 in St Michael’s Public
2 in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital

We would like to welcome Dr. Dara Breslin, who took up his position as Senior Lecturer in October 2005.
