Medical Human Resources

The purpose of Medical HR is to support the provision of Medical services to patients by supporting the Consultants and Non-Consultant Hospital Doctors (NCHDs) of St.Vincents University Hospital.
We provide expert, comprehensive, Human Resource Management services and support to 450 Medical staff (NCHDs and Consultants) in all aspects of Medical HR. Medical HR also provide a comprehensive administrative support service and assistance to the Chair of the Medical Board and other Medical led Committees including managing agendas, facilitation of meetings, notification of consultants, managing minutes, communications and follow-up correspondence.

Medical HR is responsible for resource planning and the management of recruitment for all Consultant and NCHD posts including Interns, Senior House Officers, Registrars & Specialist Registrars employed by St. Vincent’s University Hospital (NCHDs are mainly recruited on a bi-annual basis and usually train at the hospital for between 6 – 12 months).

Location of the Medical Human Resources Department:

Medical Human Resources is based in the Hospital Administration area, which is located between the Nutley Lane entrance door and the Mortuary Building (behind the motorcycle parking area).
