Nursing Department

Introduction

Welcome to the Nursing Department website page. The Department of Nursing, led by Ms. Mary Duff, continues to develop and provide quality nursing care to patients and their families in line with the mission, vision and ethos of the hospital and the Religious Sisters of Charity. Ever since the hospital received it’s first patient in 1835, the reputation for excellent nursing care in St. Vincent’s has grown. It has now evolved into a truly modern workforce drawn from over nineteen different nationalities. The department supports nurses to develop their career at all levels through numerous pathways. The organisation is proud to have developed many National and Tertiary specialties with professional opportunities for Staff Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Nurse Managers and Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

I hope you will take the time to access information on 18 different areas of Nursing care provided by the department and perhaps you might consider joining our dynamic and highly motivated team of nurses and Healthcare Assistants.
