Patient Library
The St. Vincent's University Hospital patient library is the first in Ireland. It was launched on the 28th of July 2010.
The library is an area where patients and their family can come to research their illness and learn more about their particular condition. They will be able to do this with the wide range of leaflets, pamphlets, books and other forms of information that are available in the library. It's secondary purpose is to give patients a quiet place to escape the tremendous hustle and bustle of the hospital.
Volunteers will guide and support patients while in the facility.
The library is located in centre-point adjacent from the pass machine, opposite the coffee shop, beside the citizen advice bureau.
