Welcome to St Vincents University Hospital Catering Department, where we aim to provide the best service possible to our patients, staff and visitors.

Our objectives

To offer excellence in both food and service to our customers

We endeavour to meet all the individual food requirements of our customers. These may be therapeutic and special diets for patients or dishes required by the nationality and religion of our multi-ethnic customer base.

Our Restaurant

Our restaurant is situated on the ground floor. Here we provide a full self-service menu for staff and visitors. The restaurant provides a wide variety of choice such as : Carvery, Healthy Options, Full Salad Bar, Ethnic & Religious food requirements, Vegetarian & Snack Meals.

Our opening hours are from 7.15 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Sunday. In the interest of patient care the restaurant is reserved for staff only at high demand times, such as Lunch -12.30 – 1.45pm and Tea- 5.30 – 6.30pm.

Night staff have access to a vending service in a designated area of the Restaurant.

Coffee Shop

A coffee shop situated in the main hall provides a variety of coffees, danish pastries & sandwiches to patients and visitors alike.

Opening times:

  • Monday- Friday 8am – 7pm
  • Saturday 9am-7pm
  • Sunday 9am-7pm

Outpatient Snack Bar

This food service is mainly for patients attending clinics. Our opening hours are from 8.30 – 4.30pm Monday – Friday. Open sandwiches and salads are served from a Deli Counter, together with homemade soups and a variety of snack foods.

Patient Ward Services

Patient Meals are served between 7am-9pm Monday to Sunday.
