What areas do we work in?

The Occupational Therapy department in St. Vincent’s comprises a team of 1 Head Occupational Therapist , Clinical Specialist OT , and 15 Occupational Therapists (OTs) and 1 Occupational Therapy assistant  (OTA).  Our Occupational Therapy team are quite unique in that we have Occupational Therapists providing service to mental health (adult and psychiatry of later life) and acute, rehabilitative and long term physical conditions.  We have recently begun an exchange programme for staff grades between St. Vincent’s and The Royal Hospital Donnybrook.

The areas covered with in the hospital are:  

  • Adult Psychiatry
  • General Medicine (this includes; orthopaedics, surgical, respiratory, oncology, vascular) Hands and Plastics
  • Medicine for the Elderly
  • Neurology
  • Psychiatry of Later Life
  • Pain Management
  • Rheumatology
  • Stroke
  • ED (accident and emergency) and AMU (acute medical unit)
