St Vincent’s Healthcare Group welcomes cabinet approval of new National Maternity Hospital.

17th May 2022

Mr James Menton, Chair of SHVG said: “The Board of St Vincent’s Healthcare Group welcomes the approval by cabinet of the development of the new national maternity hospital at St Vincent’s, Elm Park. This is a landmark day, the new maternity hospital will mean that women’s healthcare in Ireland will be delivered in a custom-built dedicated facility designed to deliver 21st century healthcare on a campus that already offers a wide range of sophisticated medical, surgical and diagnostic facilities.

“The relocation of the National Maternity Hospital (NMH) to the Elm Park healthcare campus is a key part of the Government’s maternity strategy. We are proud to be a partner and play our part in what will be, when complete, a complete transformation of maternity and neo-natal care not only in Dublin but also as a national care centre.

“We look forward to working with our colleagues in Holles Street and with the HSE and the Department of Health to ensure the hospital is built without further delay”.
